hi phil, lots of RT owners are trading in for the new model, and that box they have wont fit the new model, so there will be a flood of these hitting ebay soon. expect to pay around £300 for a good condition second hand one just for your info the new model top cost cost .........£820.plus vat !!!!! KIN ELL !!!
Have a look at the givi stuff. I know you'll need a separate key, but that's a minor inconvenience.. I've had a couple now, on a GS and now my K13, and they're good stuff. Prob look slightly better than the standard RT box aswell...
that wont fit the RT smudge ,,its off an F800 ...the seller has quoted all the popular BMW models and the listing even states it was off the 800 and for you to check it will fit your bike ...it defo wont fit the RT or a K1300 its quite expensive as it is actually cos you need to purchase a mount plate for it and also a lock cylinder and key . and finally if you did do some difficult mods to the base to make it for an RT .....it would look shit .....get a the proper one with the padded back rest. and your missus will be fine on the rear
nothing Phil ,,,,they are all holding onto to what they have at the moment ,,keep an eye on ebay though as they will be coming on more often when people realise the old one ,wont fit the new bike
