Well today I lost my trackday virginity (if thats what you call it!) Went up to Wigan's 3 sisters for the CRO ride. On the way got caught in two showers.. then whilst I was there it rained and everyone came back inside! After about an hour of rain and waiting. It started to dry up, when 2 Super moto's (couldnt see what bike they were) went on track along with a Honda C90. Spoke to another chap with a ZX10 who was going on, so finally convinced myself to go on! Paid up, went on! And do you know what?? Turns out, I know SOD all about riding hahaha!! No, I found for a first experience, riding on the road is much easier than riding on track! Well... For now! Wasn't too bad besides the soddingly wet track, making the bike wiggle about front and back a bit every now and then! Wasn't too bad though! Need to get on Oulton Park next
Maybe, Paul went out once before the rain set in properly although the track was wet! there was another zx10 which was or sounded like, well shit!! lol
Was my first time too! Was quite a shock when i realised how far over i could actually lean it and then accelerate while leaning before it actually started to squirm around at the rear! According to my mate who i took as pillion, i was hardly leaning at all though hahaha!
You were sensible, thats all you need to be, it will come to you in time, at least you didnt dump!! ego still in tact = kudos!! lol
I did feel like I could have gone faster, but I didn't want to risk binning. If my situation was different (financially ) then I probably wouldn't have cared and probably would have gone a bit quicker. One day!
Well done now you need to book oulton and really enjiy it. Its the best fun you csn have fully clothed Sent using the force
