Riding back tonight, 7 miles journey, when i pulled up i noticed that my radiatior was incredibly hot, and to top it off, it looks like oil on my right hand engine bars.

Slightly concerned, cannot locate a point of leakage and nothing is dripping. Anything to worry about? Going to change my coolant in the morning just in case its old.

Erm if youve had oil on the engine bars you could have had a stone into the oilcooler rad?

As for the hot rad, its hot atm in the uk so I wouldnt worry too much.

Check over both radiators with a bright light to look for any damage. Sometimes these will only leak whilst the bike is on and the pressure is high.

Figured it out this morning, left the bike running for a while in the compound, sure enough, theres a coolant leak from the lower left section on the radiator, went up to Hunts and picked up sone radiator sealant, shouldnt be an issue now

Got home, put in 100ml of the Werth radiator seal, ran the bike for a further 15 mins, went for a rum this morning, still pissing coolant. Sometimes i hate bikes......going to see if the run has made any difference tonight though, might have bunged up the hole a bit after that.

Coolant, when i got home on the night of posting this up i realised what it was, theres must be a small hole in the radiator, its all coming from the very lower element, must be a tiny hole. I'm hoping that running it will seal it, as i say, put the sealant in last night but it seems to have made no difference

Be glad it is not one of the radial ones like on the superbikes, they were over a grand 6 years ago.

Just been doing a bit of research, i have a feeling that the Honda Hornet (Cb600F, exactly the same engine) 04-07 plate uses the same radiator as the Cbf 600.....average cost is 110+vat. Yet a Cbf specific rad is £310+vat....
