I have changed my plans for a tour of Scotland in June, now looking at a two or three day tour of Wales. Probably the latter part of the first week. Anyone interested ?
Not by road. There is not enough of it that can't be done on Sunday rides. West country may be or Wales off-road with "YOE"
Are you seriously telling me that you can cover all the Tarmac (worth riding on) in Wales on one day ?
you could make a nice weekend out of it chris , prob travel down some where like Bullith wells from a friday eve. then have a nice bimble round to the South. across the Brecons beacons to Pembery, MIlford Haven ,FishGuard.. then start riding the coastal route back from Cardigan aberystwth Dollegau heading inland for home Id say you could have a nice leisure trip with fri and sat sleep over , head back sunday .. if your thinking a bit longer three or four days , you would be best hitting Ireland to Dublin , Up North to the Antrim Coastal route around to Londonderry...plenty to do and see out there, and the roads are great ..
That's about what I had in mind Dave. Two days riding getting to see some southern and coastal roads as well as some of the twisties in the hills
No, but most of it can be reached on Sunday ride outs. That which can't probably won't take so long. Now the west country, Anglia, Northumbria or Scotland is worth the trip.
Yeah. could have been. It just struck me as very similar threads after just reading the other one Hope it goes well, but I will be sat happily in a hedge watching lunatics
If you want some ideas of the best riding roads round wales, there are loads of guys that ride regularly round wales who I know would join you. Have a look at the forum on 'dragonbikers'. I live in north Wales and know the north very well. Hope you have a good trip.
