Baby wipes never go amiss for when you're on the mountain trying to clear away the green flys.

If you're staying at mine, there's a BBQ there so you'll only need food and there's a supermarket, ASDA and McDonalds just round the corner.

I took a bum-bag last year for carrying round petrol money, phone and keys although it's not essential as your pockets will do fine.

Light waterproofs under your seat, it can be sunny one side of the island and pissing down on the other. It's worth taking a small back pack to Peel day etc, usually some cheap t shirts and freebies. Pocket size chain lube is handy and visor spray. A pocket radio that will pick up AM is great for the race commentary. Sun cream, mosi bite cream and loads of beer money!
Be careful near camp site exits, I have seen foreign riders pull out on the wrong side of the road through habit. They also try to pass you on both sides, especially over the mountain. A lot of racers practise on normal open roads so be careful who you pick a race with lol! Did anyone see that on-bike footage of DJ on mad Sunday? He just took the piss :)

best tip I can give is watch them bloody frowin the strap over ur bike not nice getting a scratch or a chip on your bike me an dad stood over em an watched them do it know a few mates who've had marks put on the bike from them frowin' it over the top of the bike

agree with Alex thats what we did as the straps are filthy an stop the chaffin on your frame if u put some rags under em

we packed muck of quick wax wash the spray on bottle a bottle of tar remover for the wheels and 4 microfibre cloths worked a treat even after the rain for keeping the bikes mint over a 10 day stay.

manx sim can get one at the terminal alot cheaper than o2 or somet like that as its on roamin think they are only a fiver an moby numbers :)

spare money taped under your seat just incase haha saved me last year from gettin stranded on one side of the island with no fuel lol,

SUNCREAM under your seat can be horrendously hot some days an if u ask Phil(dad) when u see him bout his ear lol he was in agony after we forgot it one day and he was in pain with it the rest of the week as his helmet chaffed it psml.

must on the waterproofs was hailstoning one day on the mountain last year when we were ridding through pure sun in Ramsey,

and a must check ur mirrors lol bloody germans are dangerous they think nothin to forcing u right onto the wrong side of the road so just be aware of em an newcomers an racers deffo get some sneaky laps in few blattin round with there newcomer bibs on at about 3am haha on road bikes

ull bloody love it mate best place in the world :drunk:

    see you there,

    Tom
