Another tip. Watch out for the locals. Type 1: OAPs who drive at 20MPH and don't even know you are there. Type 2: Local riders who really know the roads ;-) Imagine how many times you ride your favourite road and how well you can ride it - now imagine you live on an island Seriously though, I have always found the locals really friendly.
Take an old thick towel to throw over your seat when you get on the ferry. Saves scuff marks from the rope they sometimes use to tie the bikes down.

For anyone who's not been before take your time to learn the road, some of the corners look quite similar, you really dont want to get them mixed up. 3 people died (not racers) last year and there were a lot of accidents.
