renting a track bike is a good idea, I'd be terrified of sliding my baby down the track let alone catapulting it through some gravel....

I'd prefer to do it on my own bike. I know it's limits and I've taken it beyond a few times  If you rent a bike you've always got the chance of binning that anyway, then you have to pay up.

Just ride a little more cautious. Leave a big enough margin so if you do make a mistake you can always try and correct it.

If I do a trackday this year it'll definately be on my own bike. I wouldn't want pics of me going round a track on a hire bike when I could be snapped on my own :D

i am up for a track day.....riding on the road is far more dangerous...take it easy...build yourself into it (start in the slow group...stay in the slow group if you are me) and all will be fine i'm sure.
    i'd love to do one

crash bungs to be ordered then i'm also game for a trackday.
best way to learn the limits of your bike and what it can actually handle. doesn't mean you have to treat it like your racing...it's like riding your favourite road over and over again with no worries of other traffic and police etc!
