the Euro is expected to plunge to a 13 yr low this summer against the Pound. Today, £1 will buy 1.34 euros – the highest figure for seven years – compared with only 1.17 euros last year and 1.06 euros in 2009.

This Means , Cheaper Fuel, Cheaper places to stay, Cheaper Places to Eat…CHEAPER AND BETTER BEER.!!:woot::woot:

SO…..if you have not experienced any european roads on your bike…2015 should be a cheaper year for travelling abroad …

Quite a few of us on here have experience of riding and travelling abroad so done be afraid to ask for any help or advice ….get planning guys

too right and i concur if you have never been and enjoyed northern spain and french roads on a bike - do it.
I fully intend to run one of the 400's over there again this year, and we have a 250 2 stroke tour later in the year from Portsmouth to Porto

All being well planning for a trip down to provence, Italian alps then down to the bay of Naples, those roads round Amalfi will be fantastic on a bike.

HAHA HA i had just finished posing the thread title and your Liked alert popped up ..your the sharp one ……

I'm heading to Italy….the bikes are being Transported to Florence via a truck , we meet them by flying into florence via cheap plane , then we are doing a coastal route around the south of Italy… from the west side ,Florence , Rome , Naples, to catanzaro on the southern tip , then return up the East side Bari, Pescara, to San Marino then back across to Florence, drop the bikes and fly home ….well thats the plan

Sounds brilliant, don't think there'll be hard and fast plans on ours just vague destinations, probably through Tuscany and Umbria and avoiding the Rome traffic.

Work are having a trip around france, all 3 coasts, in June this year.

I'm in Canada so will miss out :(

We should plan an NWB one around July/August...Swiss alps or something?

I'm over to spain with Eddie in may then over for the gp in June. So that's saved me a fortune in fuel and accommodation and well everything

How much does it cost to have your bike sent there? And the rough cost of flights?

we are quoted £345.00 from a Manchester pick area to florence return ….and flights will be around £110 return as a walk on Passenger , all the luggage will be put on the truck …. so for me and my bike to arrive in Florence £455.00 offset that against the ferry with a cabin from hull , all the fuel and at least two hotels to stop in before arriving in florence …its cheaper to ship the bike out and fly. two off the crew are riding there and back ,they have more time than the rest of us, so we are going to log the difference in price.

same company quote transportation to Barcelona for £300.00 and a flight out for £85.00 we looked at travelling the Santander ferry and one night overstop between Santander and Barcelona . the ferry alone was £250.00 ! so that was not on the cards ..
