yep they do Tasters AT some Oulton sessions....its always the last session of the day ,and cost £20. for this you get or should get 20 mins on track , the first three laps are no overtaking just following the instructor , then your free to play....however.....should a rider bin during that 20 mins and the red flags come out, the clock keeps ticking , if they can reopen the session with in the 20 mins you go back out , if they cant ,its the end of the session

the MSV calender is not showing any at Oulton on it so drop them a line

I'll give them a ring after I've done Ron Haslam. Would rather have it booked beforehand than just turn up..

You can't just turn up ! If it's full you won't get on , defo ring first

Google maps is your friend :)

Search google for Oulton Park, then you should be able to find info relating to track layout, directions etc

yeah they aint cheap days Paul ...DONT go to the track with a brand new tyre , get some wear into it first....they are great days esp if the sun is out ...but can be expensive .Oulton is one of the dearer tracks around , prob cos its one of the best

I think there is about a few hundred road miles left in the tyre what does that equate to in track miles

depends where the MIleage in the tyre is ? if its in the middle and you have deep tread on the sides ..it will be fine ....if you aint rode a track before im sure a few hundred miles on track will be the same as a few hundred miles on the road....if i was you , id ride to the track , do the trackday and when you have done , have a new tyre fitted at the track by the professional guy there and then your good to get home ....he is sometimes cheaper at buying and fitting tyres than the normal peeps out of the track

Mainly the middle and id say deep tread sides
Does the tyre guy fit road tyres ??

yep he sure does paul .....he will have quite a few different makes in stock , if you go to the trackday organisers website .....find out who the tyre man is , he will be advertising on the website, then call or mail him and tell him you what tyre you want , he will take it too the track and fit it ! get a price of him while your on to it too then you can compare
