Oil in a petrol tank ! Why? Has yours got a fuel pump / sender unit, would be a bit worried of clogging them up with oil and residual bits of rust.
Im not sure about the oil thing aswell i see your reason but not sure if oil+petrol+carbs in a bike is a good thing maybe abit of 2 stroke oil with petrol maybe better
Exactly, that's why I can't see the point putting it in, it's not going to protect the surface from rust when the petrol washes it off, just make any old bits of rust get stuck in the tank and then get into the fuel + carb / injectors etc etc....

Only the one below, that was after it has been hit with a wire brush wheel very quickly. In this case the electrolysis didn't work as well as it has in the past for me (Mainly because being the pillock I am, I used for my anodes that were covered in Lead Oxide Primer) I'll probably have some pictures of some tools after a electrolysis treatment I'll post in the next few days.
