anybody got one I can borrow?

It looks sort of like a socket, but with 4 teeth on the bottom.

    Cheers

Cheers Ant, but i don't think it'll be in the standard kit, its more a main dealer tool.

Its for taking off the 2 lock nuts that are under the top yoke

Not really mate, it looks like a socket, with external teeth to fit in the gaps on the nut (if that makes sense)

Appreciate this is an old thread but you can just use a punch or a screwdriver and gently tap it round with a hammer...no need for expensive tools

id use grips hayezy as long as ya got a bit of alu plate inside the grips so it dont fuck the nut!
Otherwise the nut will be stearing ya in the face ripped to fuck by the wrench!

For what it's worth, and for future reference, buy a cheap socket for a couple of quid (or use an old spare one) that's got the same internal diameter as the castle nut and just cut the face of it away with an angle grinder or Dremmel to make your own. Costs no more than a few quid. You can even use one of those fairly redundant imperial sockets in your existing set - the socket size is immaterial so long as a) the internal diameter is big enough and b) the face is a similar diameter as the castled surface of the nut.
