How easy is it? Wanna strip it down and give a proper clean, degrease the chain, disks etc. Gotta few bits to add to it tomo so i figured id strip it down before hand then add the bits afterwards. Depending on weather. Just dont wanna start strippin it then realise ive got no fookin clue how to put back together, lol.

Well attempted to strip it today and failed miserabley lol, couldnt even get fairing off, removed all bolts but there must have been summit else holdin it on cos it wouldnt budge. However i did remove the screen and the tail section inc wires to fit a new screen and tail tidy (which in the end didnt even fit lol) so had to refit the old ones and re-wire the indiactors back up and reg plate light which was interesting but glad i did it cos now i no how, lol.

Anyhow just quick q, how long does it take to burn all the wd40 off? I sprayed all the metal on the bike except the chain obviously and the bike is smokin to shit which i expected but after 10 mins of havin the bike on it was still smokin so just wondering how long it'll take to burn off?

    Cheers- Steve

Stevie, on the fairing panels when removing them apart from the the ones that are visable the metal ones when you have removed them then you have the plastic push ins their are 3 on the underside of the bike these just pull out, then on the inside of the fairing where forks are look on either side where the v pice is their is plastic push in grommits just push in the centre and hey presto pull them off and remove panel as for wd40 the smoke goes when the bike has warmed up properly. simplulzzzzzz

wurth brake and disc cleaner, but you can clean your calipers with wd just take the pads clean them and copper grease them, that is how i have just done my front and rear calipers.

as for buying a new tail tidy their is one that replaces the existing one the same shape it fits both the k5 600 & 750 if you look at the shape of it and their about 30 dabs

not long at all m8.. even with a short run the wd 40 just drys up alittle on the engine.. it even should clear as you are warming the bike up before you ride it ..
