It makes the sound like it makes when u accidently press it when the engine is running. Thats all it does.

Does anyone know if its fully gone?

this could be a few things here?

A clicking sound could be poor battery power or volt grop to the starter.

The best test for this is to test the battery for volts and drop test it underload.
when you press the start button she what the volts drop too!
IF the voltage is fine then take the startermotor off and lay it on the floor.

Then take ya battery off bike re wire it up with some jump leads and see if it kicks in independly.

If its fine then you can have the fun of finding the dodgy wiring fault.
This could be from a poor connection to a fault altenator regulator.

But i would start with the above. the easy things first.

Yeah voltage is fine in the battery - there is plenty of power for it aswel.

But it just makes a neeeeeeeeeeeeeeee sound. Instead of the urhuhurhuhurhuhurhuh sound...if ya get me!? ha

Anyone know where its located, i'll prob be able to find it but ive not even looked yet

think its at the font of the engine on these and just looks like a big motor.
Sounds like the brushes have gone.
either that or maybe the cog on it has rounded (doubtful)
Who need electric start anyway! its a 125, just bump it old skool style yeeehaaa! [IMG]

could be bearings or as said above the cogs, if you can take your fly-wheel cover off and see if the starter motor is engaging (spinning the flywheel)

Yea i have been bumping it, but id much rather use the electric.

Funnily enough tho, it kicked up yesterday off the motor and wont do it again.

Ive got remote start and use the fob to put the ignition on, so as i did that it tries to start and yesterday it worked! Not no more tho :(

I'll have to look at the weekend...

Sounds like the starter clutch mate, stick it in gear and push it forward spinning the motor a little, then try the starter . It might work for a bit like this but not for long.
