just noticed a slight oil drip that appears to be coming from the front sprocket area of the bike, either that or the scot oiler is over lubing the chain?
any idea what on that side of the engine would be the most likely candidate for a leak?
    cheers

I had a drip from the same place a few days ago.. I noticed it the day after I cleaned/lubed the chain. Gave the area a rub down to get what looks like the oil off, and placed a white cloth under for a few days. Nothing, no drips, no oil... I must have over lubed the chain and it was a build up of lube dripping out...Its been fine ever since... been over a week now, and yes I have used it.. haha.

    check the scot oiler...

ah I did give the bike a clean and chain a lube on sunday afternoon so could well be excess lube. will have to give it a good clean up later and check

its probably just excess oil thats been chucked off the chain into the sprocket casing and running out:) but if theres definately a leak it's either the clutch pushrod seal if its on the left or the sprocket carrier seal.

Happens when it's really warm it just the gunk of the chain gathering and melting. Just keep am eye on it. It it's sticky when you wipe it off its not from the engine.
