slack chain!!!!!!!

    hi all the chain on my fzr 250 is really slack and needs adjusting how long does this take to sort and how much is it gonna cost at a garage???? thanks guys :S

    Depends on if there is enough adjustment left to tighten the chain or if it will need replaceing,,,,if it does then it will prob need new sprockets as well!!

    Im sure if you locate a member close to yourself, who has some knowledge of bikes they will be able to take a look for you!

    It only takes about 5 mins to sort out. A garage will probably charge you for half an hour labour though. If you're unsure how to do this, do you know anyone who is mechanically minded?

    As Carl mentioned, maybe if someone off here is close to you they can have a look.

    Think you would be charged a few extra quid from a garage, but we have a few members that know there way around a bike so im sure we'd be able to help :)

    Where are you located?

    If its just re-adjusting, its a very simple task and one of us will be willing to do it.

    Like carl says, if the chain hasnt been lubed regularlly then it could be FUBAR'd, and then you'll need a new chain and probally sprockets will need doing aswell. This task is a little more tricky.

    i dont no anyune who would do this for me :( but if there are anyone in the liverpool area who could help then i would be willing to pay them to sort my chain :D

    I'm in the Liverpool area (Waterloo). There's also spikeytaff (although he's terrible when it comes to mechanics)

    Becoming a member on here makes you know people who will do this for you. Although you need to introduce yourself in the introduction section.

    Im sure one of our scouse handy boys will do it for you.

    nope, just a slight noise off rear disc as it has a slight warp in it, so :bleh: :bleh: :bleh: :bleh:

    erm... I need FOG to back me up on this

    It was still making that noise hahaha :p When you took off to meet Stevie, we both heard it. Denial is on the road to dimentia.
