Notice how quickly the revs drop too, a sign of a highly tuned engine.

Coz it all got a bit silly in the day with 12 speed gearboxes and multiple cylinder 50cc engines, so rules were brought in to level the playing field.

id still like them to make a 5 cylinder engine with the middle cylinder spinning a turbine instead of firing... like make the middle cylinder work like a 2 stroke with piston ports so it pumps twice the air of the other cylinders like a cold air turbo. ;)

Might not be effective using a conrod to spin a turbo as the angular acceleration would be erratic due to the conrod accelerating, decelerating and then coming to a stop before reversing the cycle.

Best idea is to get a jet engine...whooooooosh! Imagine the rush?

This is why in the 60's Honda entered the bike racing scene and wiped the floor with triumph and norton, not only were they fucking quick but they were reliable.

That sounds immense :D I love 2 strokes

    well spotted :D
not uncommon on race bikes, especially oldschool racers and hill climbers where the rider learns right forward instead of hanging off...
imagine it would take a while to get used to just like upside down shift
