would be class wouldn't it ..... but as you say a blag ..... http://www.snopes.com/horrors/techno/radar.asp
Na dont think its true, well its not true. For starts the dutch dont have tornado's, the sidewinder or AIM-9 is a short, heat seaking air to air missle, not air to ground. And doesn't have a range of 300 miles. Even if it was air to ground it wouldn't just fire anyway. Also, even if all the above was true, the RAF would't start gobbing off telling the world what there air to ground aircraft can do. And last reason is the tornado is one of the worst aircraft in NATO, the thing spends more time in the hanger then in the air. Think what really happened, was the copper was bored out of his mind and his radar gun stopped working. He has seen a tornado fly over him from RAF Lossiemouth an thought 'ye know what would be a good story'.....
nah its been doing the rounds for years that one, in various forms. a lad i used to work with called blinky said it was him flying the plane as well lol... /yawn. planes trains & automobiles he was. every dinnertime he had another heroic tale of like when he did a u turn in a submarine in the thames.... had to land a glider cos the pilot fainted - even though he was 20 stone lol. fkin hate these cameras though. its a cowards way of catching speeders, hiding behind bushes and in horse boxes... was a time when to catch you they had to chase you. happy daze :S
The Air force would not confirm or deny either the training excersize or location of a fully armed fighter. Nor would the police posses the technology to assertain that the jamming signal came from the eurofighter so how would they have known to contact the RAF. When I was at RAF halton they wouldnt even confirm to my ex that I was there when she tried to contact me. an I was just a trainee.
