Wow. :/ I think Jim was just trying to be helpful and having a concern for the girls safety, if it's pouring down it's obviously not as safe to ride, so there's no point getting drenched and putting yourself at risk for nothing. If it is the case that you need a lift Anna, I live right by Savio anyway so I have to pass the Nethy on the way. If you PM me your number I'll get in touch.
{Grumpy mode} I'll take your p*ss-taking seriously when you actually make the effort to bother turning up on a regular basis oke: Better to turn up in a car, bus, space shuttle or cardboard box than just not turn up at all.... But then if you'd bothered to grace us with your presence at all during winter you'd know that week in week out, most people have been turning up in cars. You could count the number of bikes on one hand up until last week... We turn up to see our friends and chat, whether it's on bikes or not. If you want to stand here and say that bikers are stupid for turning up to a regular meeting spot to see their friends when they AREN'T on a bike then I'm afraid you're going to look a little bit silly :joker: The people I know off NWB are friends first and bikers second. If the biking bit isn't happening they're still my friends and I still make the effort... :ninja: {/Grumpy mode} Thanks, Jo
Oooo dont get all touchy haha it was just a joke jim haha an joe whats with the big female defence system come up there haha bleedin hell think its both of your time of the months haha ( no offence ) dont write another essay on how it would be impossible for jim to have a period ect its just a joke come on now lower your weapons
Actually it does work exactly like that I will be there on wednesday with Nel possibly in the car Rob it's bloody freezing riding 50 miles each way to scotchy in this weather try coming over ourside for a meet and then tell us it doesnt work like that. plus a few riders are not current able to ride for various reasons and couldnt get to meets without friends bringing them by car. we are essentially bikers but that doesnt mean when needs must we cant meet up without the bike and by car. so Anna  to what Jim said and welcome despite my rant we are all friendly lots of us wear NWB hoodies so we are easy spot look forward to meeting you xx
Get over yourself its only a laugh fuckin hell take things far too seriously And lavinia its a joke, dont see why people take things far too seriously yano hence the haha at the end of what i wrote it was a laugh take it as a joke and not to heart!
An just if you must now i would hapliy ride 50 miles in any condition, im out whenever i can putin up to 100 miles a day on my bike in wind rain or snow (except when ita like 10 imches thick thats just stupid!)
hahaha! yerr i dont sleep much at night! lol! i work in a bar so i finish late and then cnt sleep for hours haha! x
This is thred is class! my turn  nar only jokin... I'll be at the scotch on Wed not sure on mode of transport yet. The leg is starting to feel like a leg now, drove a little yesterday had a bit of pain today. So will listen to the doc and rest it a bit... See ya'll on wed
So does that mean that if Jo had put "Wow you're a prick haha" then you wouldn't have felt the need to fire a volley back? Just think about what you're going to type mate and how people will interperet it. We're all friends on here but it can be difficult to communicate in writing as people can't see the nuances of facial expression and body language and often feel annoyed or insulted where nothing untoward was meant. In an idealy world we can all post whatever we want and no-one gets upset, but it's not an ideal world and we all have to think about each other so let's draw a line under this before it becomes a full-on bitch-slapping episode  We all love bikes, and although you may not agree with someone's approach to being a member of NWB (via car or bike) you DO have to respect their right to make that choice
Yea i do i just think its funny that the scotch was originally a meeting point for bikes and now anyome goes via any mode of transport, car bike "space shuttle, cardboard box lol " and thats my person opinion
Jo, sorry if i upset you with what i said but it wasnt meant to be in a nasty way i was just trying to have a joke and im sorry you took it in the wrong way but like i said it wasnt to be taken to heart
im working in blackpool on weds but will try to get down to the scotch piper after work (if the external safety audit goes well). Never been there before so will be a first for me. And a nice trip back to Manchester after. Yours Steve
Lol tell me about it Steve I don't think that most people there realise that some of us poor folks have to travel over an hour to home at the end of the evening :ninja: Lol mind you given the speed I drive at in the car it's more like and hour and twenty for me :joker:
Right, I'm finishing early on Wednesday, so I guess I'll be making an appearance  Rob, don't forget, smilies are good to use so people know how you're expressing yourself
Im keeping a close eye on the weather. If it is dry I will be there at some stage If it is wet I will be at home drinking Stella
