19 mate so 125 yeah just looking for cheap and cheerfull as she wants to go bak and do geared but we want her to get more road knowledge first .
I think that you can ride a manual if you did your cbt on a twist and go actually, @Stephen-Niall seems to know a fair bit about this. Extra training isnt to be sniffed at though!
no mate it has tick boxes at the bottom of the certificate provisional/ moped .....provisional/motorcycle .....so auto only
Yeah thats what i always thought, then i was told otherwise, Check out this link, it seems to suggest otherwise, quote "Automatic and Manual machines As far as CBT is concerned, the certificate is valid for either automatic or manual machines, regardless of the type of machine used on the course." http://www.phmotorcycles.co.uk/training-cbt.html And again http://www.motorcycletraining-essex.com/cbt-compulsory-basic-training.php And another http://saferiders.co.uk/faq/ The boxes may just indicate what kind if vehicle you took the training on.
Oh so you ask about the scooter in one breath then to see a pic of his daughter in the next! Shocking. Bet you have a velour tracksuit and can "fix it" for her to get a nice scooter. :bag::ban:
Give Mrs Rock Steady a toe between her cheeks to get her A2 sorted, then daughter has a ready made hand me down.
I did my CBT on an automatic scooter on the bottom of my CBT certificate it says 'Machine used - 50CC AUTO' . I then went on and rode a geared 125cc for 2 months and completed my full A1 license, with that CBT. 2 Bike instructors, and 3 DSA Examiners have all looked at it and not said anything, I also asked about it to my bike instructor and he said its completely legal & fine. Bit of a silly rule really if you ask me, but so are most of the bike laws. I would recommend to go back and do a geared CBT, but it's by no means necessary if you can teach her yourself.
