Have we missed southport this year ? The rhyl one i thought would be my last chance to see / hear / feel this beast. I remember seeing it when i was a kid and it left quite an impression on me. if being retired this year well i think its worth the effort to go see this one last time.
I don't think it is being retired permenantly. It requires extensive work on the leading edge of its wings which will take a couple of years to complete. Subject to funding it is hoped that it will be up in the air again after the work has been completed.
i may miss this again i need to be back and get to chester greyhound in the car by 3pm to get a key cut / coded. or i will tag along and do my usual routine of sodding off half way.
