I'm thinking of going for a buzz this weekend... Quick check on the weather makes Saturday look better, though probably won't stay dry all day Starting in or around Preston about 09:30 (TBC once i know if anyone fancies it) Head towards Knott end Through to Glasson Dock Pass through Lancaster Up to Caton for a bacon butty Carry on up to devils bridge If the weather is good then perhaps up to Hawes (leave it!) but maybe not Then back through caton Over Quernmore which leads back to A6 Back to Preston Any one fancy it? 125's welcome.. it won't be a race day Live Forever or Die Trying
Gutted. Im out on my mates birthday do on sunday. And got a pass for a ride last night. So im all spent for this week. Sounds a good route though. Deffo sort a ride that way with you in the future.
I just liked your post... but u didn't mean 'excellent, Lee can't come', lol, I meant the bit about coming out in the future Live Forever or Die Trying
I'm a maybe.... gotta earn a passout from the missus first which means doing the garden or some housework tomorrow haha
What times are you planning i.e. leave and arrive back at Preston... Missus has just kindly reminded me i've gotta watch the kids while shes out :spam:
I may try and catch up to you guys somewhere! pick my bike up late am, and have the whole day to play out. depending how quickly i get used to it I may pootle my way up to intercept.
Oh good, a few responses then I'm thinking if we start at Preston docks at 09:30 for a fairly strict 09:45 departure... (I was going to nick the idea of tickled trout, but for this route i think quite a few would end up having to come back on themselves, especially L-plate 125 riders who can't just jump on motorway)... I've just put a rough version of the route (without Hawes) into Google maps and it says there is 3 hours worth of riding... So with breaks and taking it easy we should be back no later than 14:00 - 14:30? Live Forever or Die Trying
Cheers If we say Homebase car park... Next to McDonald's. (McDonald's or across by the burger van would be handy, but on Saturday morning it's likely to be busy, so go into the homebase car park and turn left as it'll be quieter there) There is a Morrison's petrol station next to here, but can we all make sure we're topped up and in homebase carpark before 09:45 please I'll be on a blue Yamaha SZR660 Live Forever or Die Trying
Im In got the 'rents to watch the kids for a few hours while im out haha Can someone give me a postcode / address of where we're meeting. Dont know where Preston Docks is and when i Google it, it gives me like 8 choices lol :-/
