    I can fill up on Fri sat or sun and don't come out bank till Monday but the petrol is a lot cheaper

    Be careful, they're not always cheaper overall... And Asda often undercut them... though it all depends where - all garages work to what they can get away with in the area...

    Don't get me wrong, I use morrisons too if I'm passing, they are generally a decent price, but don't just hunt it out blindly wherever I am, they're not that cheap...

    Let's say your bike holds 25 gallons (I think it's slightly less)...

    And say Morrison's is 5p cheaper (unlikely against other supermarkets - though quite possibly against Shell or Texaco)...

    So you're saving only £1.25 per tank...

    If Morrisons is 5 miles away - 10 mile round trip - then you've saved nothing...

    Ps - sorry for hijacking thread... But it was for helpful reasons! I'll shuttup now :)

    on leaving Bowness , heading to Winderemere village as soon as you hit the one way system there is a fuel stop on the left ...or leaving Bowness doing a Left turn where the tree is in the road at the bottom of the hill, Fuel station there on the left next to the chippy ...both are reasonable priced.......Clarkeys right smudge ..you dont take a 20 mile detour for fuel to save 2p a litre . that would cost more...

    Fuel in the Lakes is more expensive than the approaching areas or departing areas due to it being a huge tourist area...which means the tourists get ripped off...

    Ffs is there one on route also I check if one is near 5 miles out way I'll do so that's 10 miles well worth it

    theres definitely No morrisons on the A6, Poss one at calgate, not sure if your heading through there,...or from South lakes turn off to WIndermere, Bowness around Ambleside, Hawkshead , Conniston,...this is the Lakes , people want to enjoy the scenery....not go fooking shopping for groceries ...

    ive been thinking all week about coming to play out with you guys , was just chatting to another member at tea time about it...im on IAM duty tomorrow morn...all the Observers are on a ride out, up that way actually, meeting at 830 am so we may cos paths..we will have two police officers with us as we are doing some bike to bike radio communication ..
