I would've thought they'd just slip off. Give them a little more encouragement.

fuel tap? what its leaking when the engine isnt on? or is it allowing more in ? anyhow its all back together i done the oil .. and the coolant.. but now the problems are the water hoses one is leaking and the 2 drain bolts at the front of the cylinders are leaking to.. lol, i should of replaced them but heyy! so i have to now no choice lol.

i had a problem with the fueling on the vfr, they use a shit diaphram design on the fuel tap where it takes a vacuum from the inlet/carbs to the fuel tap so it only opens when the engine is running. sometimes it can fuck up and totally block the fuel tap not allowing any fuel through or a little at a time only being able to ride a short distance before running out i bought a spare which was also crap so made one up out of the 2 i had, crap design and i would change it if i could

i think i ended up taking the diaphram out for a while whilst i came up with an idea to sort it out although the tap did leak a bit and could smell petrol around the bike when sat for a while lol

best thing to do helen would be to take the tap off and have a look at it, i might still have a tap here im not too sure but your welcome to come take it if i can find it!

    cheers Nick

lmao no ive never had it switched off .. i had it on reserve a few times before i understood that it has to be on the ON postion for me not to run out of fuel lol. ill check it out when i get the bike runnign nick, when i get on it that willtellme if its still doing it. just trying to find 2 new cylinder drain bolts + washers and im good to go.

also on ebay there is an aftermarket "chinese" RVF fairing set advertised.. itd be £290 altogether... what do people think of these fairings ?? (mine are all craked and welded very badly by the perivious owners) so im watchign them, they look a good quality ...??? any ideas
