At 56 secs the rider was in front and had the opportunity vanish in the distance and diffuse the situation. First rule of self-defence, if you can or get an opportunity to run, do so. The rider inflamed the situation by hanging around and as for turning down a blind alley. Dumb. I didn't watch it to the end as I had seen enough to know that I was not going to learn anything as I would not put myself in that position.
