Well I found two number plates hidden behind my wheelie bin up the driveway , the worrying thing is that they are off the same car as I have but a few years younger?? I know this because I've just done a insurance check online on askmib could my car be getting lined up I wonder ?
Thats more than a coincidence. If its a nice car id be ultra vigilant with locking doors etc at all times of the day. There was a spate of key theft / car thefts near us at an old address once. They would just try front and back doors in the afternoon or early evening. Old fashioned disc lock on steering wheel is a good deterrent too.
yes , too much of a coincidence , looks like yours as been marked up ! must have been due to be removed and cloned very soon .Im taking it you removed them and handed them to the cops ? they might be able to trace were they were made etc . can you set up any type of camera link to watch the car ?
they might have fingerprints on too? put them in a carrier bag and i'd go into local station and have a chat
..agree with all the above....I found some plates in my back alley and someone had used them to do a petrol drive off - fuzz sent a civilian GMP forensic guy to collect and then fingerprint them - cops need to know - keep an eye out ...
Behind the wheely bin is no coincidence either. They pull the bin across your drive in time for you coming home, you jump out to move it, they jump in and fuck off it it ! Be very careful
just been the cop shop and gave them in I wouldn't of thought my car is very desirable tbh it's 7 years old now , the plates have Warrington Audi on them, so maybe just stolen for a fuel drive off ? I always keep my keys upstairs anyway, so they'll need to get in the house to get them and I have a massive stupid Labrador that bark sounds like he's a Great Dane so that might be de deterrent ,I do have a camera pointing at the car but it doesn't record
.....if you think about the number of other scrotes and boy racers driving old BMs and Audis, I'm sure there are some that don't think twice about nicking someone else's to sort out repairs or upgrade theirs - most likely if it's got some punch though is to steal it on falsies to use in a criminal job ....
