As title i have a 2010 WR125x and the fork seals have gone so i've sent them away to get the seals changed. (i could prob do them myself but its my first bike) lol And i've been told that my forks have small rust spots on them which is causing the seals to fail. (is this correct?) And is it worth getting them rechromed (qouted £150 for this) or is there another route i can take? :)

    Thanks in advance

If the chrome is pitted rechroming is the best way forwards or the seals will keep going and fork oil will keep leaking out. People just don't look after things properly now a days.

When you get it sorted make sure you protect your metal work with some sort of corrosion protection. There are laods to choose from and most are good.

I use Motorex Moto Protect in the summer and ACF50 for winter protection.
