Ever since I got my bike it was always my intention to do something with the ugly stock rear hugger. There are a couple of aftermarket options available from £140 - £170 witch in my opinion is a bit steep me being a tight git and all that. So where possible with my engineering back ground I always try to custom make things where possible. Unfortunately due to my current state of incapacity and convalescing these resources are unavailable so out of sheer boredom this morning I decided to see what I could do with the stock unit and twenty minute later this is the result. First pic stock hugger before mod. Next three pics after mod. This will give me a good model to use for my finished version, not to bad for a few minutes with a jigsaw file and sandpaper and it cost nowt.
ha ha ha eagle eyes has landed i agree though why pay £150 for a tyre and only use half of it i want some fecking discout OH hugger does look good
My tires look like this too haha Motorway every day Police don't seem to like it when you try to get rid of your chicken strips shooting across 3 lanes haha...
Definate improvement mate ! good job and cant beat free mods ! I modified mine - i ripped the piece of crap off. i only ride in the dry anyway. just wrapped a sock round the spring to protect it (and it was flaking) and jobs a good un (doesnt look half as bad as it sounds)
