Ever since I got my bike it was always my intention to do something with the ugly stock rear hugger. There are a couple of aftermarket options available from £140 - £170 witch in my opinion is a bit steep me being a tight git and all that. So where possible with my engineering back ground I always try to custom make things where possible. Unfortunately due to my current state of incapacity and convalescing these resources are unavailable so out of sheer boredom this morning I decided to see what I could do with the stock unit and twenty minute later this is the result.

First pic stock hugger before mod.

This will give me a good model to use for my finished version, not to bad for a few minutes with a jigsaw file and sandpaper and it cost nowt.
