    Okay.
Finally got round to getting my tank undented and resprayed after my trip through the gravel trap

Got the tank off okay, by which I mean pliers in and clip taken off the fuel pipe, then screw driver in and got the fuel pipe off, lifted tank up and reached under for the drain pipe and another larger pipe (whatever that one does), then managed to get my hand in to undo the vacuum pipe.

So the Tank is off, and in to get re-sprayed

But how the hell do i get it back on? It seems like a really tight space to be working in, the Haynes book says "Support the back of the tank using a peice of wood, re-attach the pipes, slidet he tank onto the locating bushes and put the screw back in to secure the tank under the seat

Sounds easy, but i am worried about the tight space to what i have to work in.
In all honestly it was getting dark by the time i had finished, so i didnt have a good look around, but from the experience of taking it off, it is gonna be a pig and a half...

Am i in for a tough fight? Or is there more length on the pipes than it seemed like when removing it?

The pipes are breathers if you follow them down they should come out the bottom of the bike towards the rear of the engine, the block of wood keeps the tank up while re fitting the pipes, easy if you have small hands mind, put a bit of grease on the mounting rubbers and it will slide on easier,My XJR tank can be fitted or removed in less than 5 minutes
    Good luck

    undecided.
Honda do the Honda Wing but in a 3D chrome style sticker
    [image]http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh318/cj599/2.jpg[/image]
they also do 3D HORNET lettering in chrome as well.

So may go for one of them
All depends how much Honda charge for them, if they are stupidly priced i will leave it blank.

Toying with the idea of something like:

    [image]http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn87/deanoet/tank1.jpg[/image]

With the 3D HORNET lettering below it

£24, plus VAT for the sticker... each...
i aint spening £50+ on stickers.. the tank itself only cost £70 to get fixed...

Quite liking the blank look... :)
