taking the wifes 14 apart for winter in the next few weeks,the stantions have some rust on them and abit of corrosion,the last owner kept it out in all weathers with no cover. so do i get them re-chromed or get replacement 1,s? new seals and powdercoat to the lowers aswell anybody know a good chromer or where we could get new 1,s near to us in Preston
If its just surface rust get some tin foil and metal polish,note this wont removing any pitting its worth a try before you spend your dosh
Contact Ormskirk Honda, they have a fantastic Re-chroming company up in Yorkshire. Don't know anyone else local who does stuff much bigger than screws :/
Where you live m8? There's a company in Failsworth Called R & S components that specialises in rechroming . Looks quite good too.
