Well i think when sumone talks to me, at meets i say what i want to do to my bike and change my mind like i dont know what, so i got bored today and took all the fairings off to look at fabricating a 900rr tail on but i noticed that every panal on the bike was original stock cbr 600fv, so i decided im going to keep as much stock as poss and go with my original idea, i will edit the post with more pics as i progress, but you dont get to see the final colour till you see it in the flesh.

lets start with the worst side
off side fairing
De stickered
deep clean prep
first deep sand
fibre glass were needed

First coat of primer I'm thinking i should of got high build :laugh:

 

I think 1 litre base 1 litre top 2 litre of 2k clear should be enough. Damn primer is annoyoin me due to colour im going the primer has tto be perfectly flat or it will show

 

Got to say you don't mess about when you decide to do something do you.

 

just had a really bad reaction with rear tail :wtf: think im gunna need to take that all way back to plastic

 

ok so these panals all primed ready for base that damn tail section took some doing

 

nice one Smudger are you sticking to the red or changing the colour?

 

that would be telling :laugh:

also one of the tails has shrunk and split again so it must be rubber deep in the tiny scratches from boot soles, de wax and deep clean

 

Your like me decide something then just do it ...or get it done ....no point in waiting ...

ive found more things need cleaning and spraying



i wonder what used to go in them holes that have been fiber glassed up

 

well thats the front fairings fabrication work almost done she is nearly ready for base coat

 

kinda liking the total naked look
