Some of you will have seen this on Facebook I have been working on turning my R1 into a Naked Street Fighter here it is so far but still loads of work to do !
Cheers guy's here's the latest pic took this afternoon! Still need to sort out a Bellypan, Airscoops, Rad covers and various other little bits and bobs like altering the gearing (dont see the point in 180mph with no fairing) lol.
looking really nice. got me thinking of doing the same to mine. how much of a ball ache is it to do? ive seen companies dound top yoke conversions, but how do you go on for all the other bits? my R1 is great on the open road, but its a pain (literally) in heavy traffic!
Bars are dead easy i got some renthal bar clamps from ebay and just drilled the top yoke using the holes allready there for the clip ons drill them out to 12mm and job done you will also need throttle cables and housing from FZ1 and also FZ1 Clutch cable
might have to pick your brains some time if i go for it. was thinking of maybe selling the R1 next year and going for a tuono or cb1000r. but i really love the look of that. hmmm. what do you do about the ram air system?
