I think the bikes mad at me for riding the shiny rental... but anyway-

Its been stood for a couple of weeks so the battery went a bit flat. I tried bump starting and it turned over but didn't catch (my fault - no choke lol) I pushed down another hill with the choke on and still nothing. Got tired so I tried the button again, slow spinning sound from the engine then nothing - dead. left it there, took the battery out and charged it at home.

When I put the battery back in later last night, i get a new sound, the starter motor is screeching at me like the engine has seized or something.

Gave up and pushed it back up the hills and now I don't know what to do

Any suggestions welcome lol, i'm going to try it again in a few hours

might sound silly, but did the fuel tap get switched off?

other than that! take out the spark plugs and let the petrol evaporate from the cylinders (bout 5-10mins) then clean them up with some wd40 and a tough rag.

Worst case scenario is that you have old fuel shitting up your carbs, if thats the case you will need to clean them.. not exactly a difficult job but requires a spare few hours.

the suzuki oil cooled motors are really easy to work on, just make sure you connect up the vacume lines properly.

If your still struggling, let me know!
