No matter how much I think about this and what other people think I cannot get my head
around the fact that that here we have in the UK well known and professional footballers
that have been convicted of major crimes and have been allowed to go on resume their
careers after prison release.., to include offences of assault affray, causing death by dangerous driving when car
was maliciously drove at and caused the death of a person ..etc etc.. it is unbelievable
that Chedd Evans is not allowed ta second chance here and there are many blocking
his return... look at the list of these players some have played in the Northwest clubs
    10-players-who-have-returned-to-football-after-time-in-prison... here are their faces

I know where your coming from ..but its the crime he committed that is the issue. Most of them on the list are piss heads, got caught drink driving etc .. you can imagine this chad signing for liverpool or arsenal and he becomes the next Rooney etc etc. So all the kids look up to him and idolised what he is and what he has done ..they then thing its ok to rape someone cos there hero did it …

Im taking it your an Oldham fan ?

I don't think it's just the crime but his perceived arrogance and failure to acknowledge any wrongdoing, especially considering the impact the aftermath has had on his victim. Personally I've no sympathy for him and hope he suffers for a long time. Funny how now that clubs are turning him away he comes out and apologises.

If Oldham Athletic did sign him they were to change their name to Oldham Down !
Joking aside the hotel CCTV of the poor girl smashed out of her face and the fact that his brother filmed the abuse on his mobile phone didn't help his case. I find it strange that his girlfriend has stuck with him through it all ??

I would disagree with you regarding the "but its the crime he committed that is the issue" I personally think anyone that has spent time inside should not be allowed to play.....

IMO it should be the same in all sports, why on earth would you want people to have role models that have killed someone whilst pissed in a car or taken class A drugs????

But regardless of the reasons, death threats to members of the Club? That's just terrorism on a different level?
    That should be stopped.

My personal view of it is he might be innocent let's face it the judicial system is not 100% the other fella got let off but ched got done for it sounds a bit weird she hit the bar heavy after finishing work so not surprised she could hardly walk but why ched and not the other fella?? Bit odd. She has had to change name and location 4 times apparently which is weird too coz how do ppl find her after she was given a new identity?? I have hered that she was boasting on Twitter about winning her case but above all the shit we hear for and against there are only 2 people who know and will ever know the truth. We can only speculate and give our opinion like.

Club sponsors don't want any association with a convicted rapist. It's just bad for business. Simples.

He's convicted - we have to take that at face value - people still look to Tyson as a role model - plenty of famous people have hurt or caused the death of others - you would like to think they live with the guilt, but many manage to whitewash their own sordid histories and carry on enjoying the celebrity - personally I don't begrudge someone restarting their life and becoming a contributor to society after a conviction, but their privilege of celebrity should go and they should have the decency to bow out and live a respectful but somewhat more discrete life ...

...every now and again you get these nutters who have terrorised, battered and destroyed lives only to be somehow celebrated for 'turning their lives around' in a later wave of publicity -some are even celebrated for actually being criminals - for me their position in society is eroded and they should not enjoy any reward or satisfaction or redemption - they should quietly get on with their lives because someone, somewhere still has their lives in tatters or remains In utter grief, misery or poverty because of their actions - That can rarely be fixed or put right - just my view !

My personal opinion is, yes, if you have served your time then you have every right to start from afresh.

That said, if it were me who had gone to prison, I wouldn't be waltzing straight back into my own job. I would have to start again, finding some way to fit in.

He will have to do the same, it goes with the turf!

My other half recently had a new starter at her place of work "let go" after a month of training. Everyone was gutted to see him go, he was a really nice chap BUT he had a past. A murky one at that and unfortunately it had caught up with him. Why should it be different for someone famous?
