Serviced in March this year, re-valved, new shims, sprung for a 12-13st rider (#525 spring). £500 ono Over £1k new! http://www.penskeshocks.co.uk/motorcycledamper/damper/3way/
500 for a spare bike means your ending up with a right lump.... 500 for a shock means your sexy as hell in the bends.
£800 SHOCK ? Well I suppose its all relative? I used to spend that on diving bits without thinking about it when I was earning good money and £11,000 on engine rebuild for the lotus just sort of came and went, wish I was earning that now,,,,,
bugger you have to be seriously competitive to spend that much on a shock ........... is it going to make that much difference to your lap times? would it not be better to just buy a faster bike?
Any good rider would prefer better handling rather than more power. As the really quick lads on here and they'll confirm it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Bling is bling and we all know how much common sense can go out the window where our bikes are concerned. Do trick paint jobs make you go faster? What about tinted screens, visors or powder coated trick bits? None make the bikes go faster, neither does a shock. However a fully sorted race shock, sprung and shimmed for your bike and your weight can improve your handling and give you more confidence. In the end of the day this is a for sale thread, not a "What upgrades are best for your bike before you buy a faster one?" thread. So with all the respect in the world, if you're not interested in buying the shock, start a different thread.
