    PDL at Oulton.

First four sessions went the same way, wet, cold, by the third lap no feeling in fingers.

Session five went differently - all I did was got really excited during session five when the rain stopped and I mentally decided the track was dry, first fail.

Second fail was on lap five when I entered Druid's (on inters not wets) way too fast for the wet 'dry' track.
Third fail was knocking it down a gear with the revs too high and no slipper. Back end shuddered then stepped out a few times, I was too busy sh1tting myself to count how many times, when the bike eventually straightend up I had a few foot of tarmac in front of me with the track heading to my right unfortunately not in my direction.

Instant decision to go grass track racing made, amazing how necessity overides want in times of pressure, brake brake brake release, feet off pedals, onto grass off the brakes, woahhhhhhhhhh I am still upright, here comes the kitty litter, whoosh plop STOP, feck me I am still up right 15 foot into the litter.

And then everyone I have overtaken on the previous five laps come through Druid's sniggering under their helmet. :)

Hi Wev, scary but good experience me thinks

Those MotoGP riders must be going some to get 100 foot into the litter. :)

Glad you came through it in one piece Paul.. I know that feeling when your sat at the side and you just know those you've passed are laughing at you.. Mark Mac and I did the same to a bloke who lost is at Hislops after over taking us both down Hilltop. Not being funny, but if you can keep it upright with intermediates on in that weather, you'll be fine riding in anything!

Hope to see you at another trackday soon!

Oh, and what did the wife say?

I won't be telling the wife.

I was running the GoPro on the front but for some reason it stops after 2 minutes so didn't catch me grass tracking, gutted. But it did it for 3 other sessions cut out after a couple of minutes, I will charge the batteries next time.
