Swapped the rear sprocket for a bit more umpf then got the boys out for a test run on Monday ( parbold hill and southport) the sunset cruise from bank end to the carousel was an awesome site. 4.35 litres of fun !
so did you add more teeth Stu? for acceleration ,how was the speedo reading ? did you notice it would have been running out a little from the std gearing ?
+2. The chain and front sprocket were like new so I just changed the rear which was off a 2006 ultra low mile bike. eBay £12 ! ( 2005 standard is 40t, 2006 standard is 42t) the rear wheel is now 7.5mm nearer the front than it was before. The net results are;- it takes off like a stabbed rat, I don't have to slip the clutch as much from a standing start and I reckon the speedo is out by 7%.
