recently my bike has been running at low revs with a juddery feel, and with this comes it cutting out and when it does run its lumpy as hell and throws out ALOT of black smoke,i disconnected the power-commander and the bike ran fine, than it started to run crap again.ive swapped over afew of the sensor dotted around the bike, swapped the oil temp sensor, checked the plugs....now im no way near competent to do anything that would deem me taking the thing apart.

any of you guys got any idea,s as to what i can do next other than put a match to it...

i had a bimble up to rivi today,it rode sweet as,but on the way home it just went to popping and farting and throwing out black smoke again

could it not be the plugs?

I would defo check the plugs and clean the air filter, also the fufu valve can sometimes get blocked

Sounds like my bike on a good day, you soon get used to it :)

if it ran ok with the power commander off you just found your own problem - black smoke = too much fuel.
its not uncommon for them to break lol.
is it a usb power commander???
if you have the ability, load a fresh generic map for your bike & see if it sorts it.

its running just as bad without the power commander, and i only had it remapped and dyno,d 4 week back due to it being a new engine as i blew my last 1

take it back the dyno to be sure, but yeh, u may have just fouled the plugs.
dyno will tell u if its fuel related

Lambda or air flow sensors could be playing up.

yup - this will show up on a dyno run.

not sure how you would test the maf / lambda sensor though unless you know someone with same bike you can swap the sensors to test?
i would imagine it would be expensive to just start changing parts willy nilly.

like if you take the plugs out, no doubt they will be black as fk & sooted up but that'll be a symptom not a cause...
does the dash not show you error codes or do you need a reader to see them>??
usually a sensor error will have a code associated with it - like the tacho needle will point to a particular number or the fi light will flash like morse code...

get the manual for it lol - there might be one on carlsalter.com

im swapping all bits with the wifes k3,tried the air sensors and oil pressure sensor,no fi codes are coming up either.

NED revin the hell out of it while i still can

my mate had the same problem with a gixer 750..about two weeks after fitting a new engine it suddenly started runnin rich as fook.never got to the bottom of it cos the big end went a month later and the bike went in the bin.does yours have a dealer switch plug under the rear cowell .if so you might be able to run your own diagnostic with the ecu

well finally got it sorted...touch wood.

was told to swap the TPS from the wifes bike to mine, from start up the bike sounded better, went on a bimble all good, wifes bike having my TPS on her ran bob on aswell.since i swapped them over last tuesday we have done 300 plus miles without a single hiccup.

im thinking a dodgy connection or dirt in a connection.anyway the power commander is off 100% and im off out again in the sun.

thanks for all the comments guys

mightve just been a bit of sh*t in the tps... all they are is a rotary pot - variable resistor...
maybe as you say you got a bit of winter saltwater in there and corroded the connectors a bit?
unplugging and plugging back in exorcises all manner of electrical demons lol :)
