Oulton Park Track Day 28th July - with Hottrax

So a few have said they are going and i will amend the list here as it developes.

I do have one concern though and thats the noise test, the tractor is fookin loud :fart:

You will need enough fuel to cover around 50 laps thats about two tanks of fuel plus a full one on arrival (depending on bike).

Grouping is done by trackday experience not road experience, dont think you can play with the big boys if you dont know braking markers and lines as its dangerous.

iam thinking about this one .. ill be in the learners group..

 

do it, coz when you not on track everyone is sound an will talk to you and have a laugh also when your on track your on your own anyway do it at what ever pace you want in novice, you wont be the only one goin there for the first time too other people are in the same boat! trust me there is some slow riders out there so dont worry about "not keeping up"

 

whats the score with petrol. is it a rip off .. just trying to figure out a cost for the day

 

£20-25 about in petrol bring jerry cans

 

Petrol is about £1.15 per litre, but the pump is only open at 11 am and 1 pm.
Antz this will be my first time in inters, so if it's too fast I may join you in novice group.
Antz - I doubt you will be slow around the track as you're faster than me on the road.

 

cheers pal for the info... ill be going on my bike as i dont have a van or as of today i dont may lend one not sure yet ..would love to try a track day .as road riding a bit of a bore .. so i may be on this one .. not commenting my self yet ..

 

I rode my bike on 23 June, got there, taped everything up and had good time.
Just remember to take it easy in the last session because you will be tired and you need your bike in one piece to get home.
Antz I have offered to share a van with Wallie and hopefully closer to the time he will confirm, we may even get 3 bikes in a van and you're welcome to stay at my place the night before.

 

am just working out funds if i can afford this,seeing as i will be doing anglesey on 17th july !
got a minor op on the 29th and no biking for a month !!!! so might have to push the boat out
for this one and batter the credit card !
is anybody riding there from bolton/walkden/worsley/east lancs area ?

i've only done 1 trackday so will be in the novice..
anyone else for novice ?

crispy, if your riding from bolton area, you can follow us down we will be in the van!

 

If your riding there then it's just a matter of going to the petrol station just down the road between sessions.

 

sounds like a plan,although following at van speed could be painful...!
might settle for a 'meet in the car park'
