i was riding but not now, will next month. so will be getting a lift down in car.

 

hi guys, because of me leg in a cast till next month, il be coming but not riding. me & crisby are book into Oulton Park(inters) on the 29th June, any one up for that one,i will put a post up for it now.

Novices. I'm not very good :blush:

Anyone got any tips on overtaking? My problem is - I'm occasionally quicker than someone else in the corners, but their bike is quicker than mine on the straights. I must overall quicker otherwise I wouldn't be up their arse round the corners. But I'm so worried about taking them out if I try to overtake before / after / during a corner, I end up stalking them round and round until I see an opportunity, which can take ages, rather than just braking later and getting past or taking a different line. How do you not get mesmerised by the person in front and have the confidence to do your own thing and get past on a corner?

(I'm not talking big corners like Gerrards where I've happily gone round the outside, three abreast , I mean tracks like Oulton with more twisty bits)

if your overtaking people your obviously not rubbish !
Watch some videos on YouTube and check out
where people pass and overtake.
Most importantly it's not a race,just be smooth
and go your own pace.
If you are going to overtake on a corner
don't go in front of anyones natural turning point
tdo advise to take people on late braking or coming
out of a bend on the power.
I ain't quick around oulton so I'll be tagging you no doubt!!

It was nice meeting those of you I talked to though, and I provided a good mobile chicane service I think for you to hone your overtaking skills on

Went to A&E at crewe to see dave . they are keeping him over night

yoda yer got there bout 12 left bout 3:45 ish, was knocking about the pit wall all day really, in the sun, sorting out me tann hahaha watchin people scream past and getting worked up i couldnt have a go lol

Down there on the 29/6 to and am on track to, so should be a larfff lol

Had a good day guys (apart from Dave havin his off,,hope he is ok)....Knew Kev would not resist the temptation to get a few runs in :banghead:

 

Hope Dave is ok. Thank him for his noise test sticker, 25 for just over 1 session well I couldn't resist could I had a right laugh but with everyone being 4 sessions ahead it was a very quick novice group.

 

couldnt resist today so booked in for half a day..3 sessions, did 2 slowish runs then pushed it abit in the last one, managed to keep banksy in my sights aswell so well made up with that...dont think the marshalls were to impressed when i did most of the in lap on 1 wheel though
