Wanted Old camera lens?

Looking for an old camera lens for my brothers college project...

Nothing special, just old DSLR lenses that are damaged maybe? Something you don't mind throwing away.

Could pay but only cheap. Not looking for a brand new mint lens.

I have an old zoom lens, I used it with a film camera. It may work with a DSLR with an adapter.
You can have it for nowt.

 

check antique shops too. lots of old camera bits lying around for pennies.

 

Does your brother need this to fit to a camera and if so, does it need to be a digital compatible lens? If you can give as idea what the project is, it could help.
We updated to digital cameras a good few years ago in work, but the old 'wet film' cameras are sat on shelves under a couple of inches of dust. For a college project, the bosses might be prepared to hand a few over for a charity donation?

 

A bit of a cheeky enquiry robj but what lenses have you got " under a couple of inches of dust " ? I'm always on the lookout for buying film lenses

 

I'll find out and let you know. There'll be some sort of work protocol on how things are disposed of, but as the wet film stuff has been replaced and is now obsolete, I'm guessing that the bosses would be just glad to be rid.

 

He is just after lenses, not to be attached to a camera. The project is something to do with "looking through" so I think he is going for things like this:
