Any MOTORCYCLE 10w40 semi-synth should see you right mate.
Some peeps put car 10w40 in don't do it!
Putoline, Castrol, Motul ect, I use the Rock oil Guardian 10w40 Semi synth if it helps
    :)

Most bikes, like your CBR 600, have a multi plate wet clutch, which needs the engine oil to work. Car oil's not designed for this type of use!

The car oils contain friction modifiers which would contaminate your clutch plates making them slip. Not only that they aint designed for motorcycle use.
Next oil change I am going to try the Castrol power 1 semi-synth, Honda recomend Castrol oil and I believe the blend is 70% synthetic 30% mineral.
Take a look at Flossie, the Castrol rider
