allright carl where the fxxxk is ride on sat going to what mileage r we lookin at and times lost the will to live readen about it
ADAM it's tomorrow mate meeting at the Wine Press at Hollingworth Lake in Rochdale. My way was much easier but it meant you doing a little motorway to meet me. Oh well never mind I will just enjoy all the best roads on my own and see you guys there at 12. If any of you do want to meet at Birch services at 11:00 then pm me. I will be setting off from my house at about 10:30 saturday morning so let me know before then.
shortest/quickest is motorway, about 50 miles. going to play it by ear tomorrow though, as long as it's dry out i'll be at j&s for brekky and head over from there.
wheres j&s ,what time you headen off, might be up for it ,only the motorway puts you of is there any good ridin or mainly motorways
How long are peeps staying at the winepress? I can make it to the meet but got things to do til at least 1pm...
Me Too, my son (cheekyads) is playing football till lunch time, I like to go and watch him, so I can't get there till about 13.00
I finish work at 1 30 in liverpool city centre, its an hours ride with motorways. earliest is 2 30. As above what time are you staying there til?
here...https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&q=cw8+2hb&ie=UTF-8 if it's dry i want to be out for about half seven to get some miles in on new tyres, should be up there for about nine-half past and then shove a big brekky in my face leave there around half ten ish and bibmle over. i'm not planning on rushing over there, assume we won't end up leaving j&s till about half ten at the earliest
ok descissiin made im gonna meet carl and the groupe at J&S for some brekko then at liest one ways riding will be interesting
theres also dig d,s (macmillans pub) long lane wheatley near halifax hx3 5ad which is a good bikers pub. nice ride from the wine press over the moors through rishworth, sowerby bridge. Its about 25/40 mins (variable depending on speed ). The beach pub at the other end of the lake is cheaper for food they do two for one meals etc. It,s more lie a foodfayre pub. But theres plenty of places nearby to eat and some good roads over t mooooors. :hunter:
hey Carl, Eddie, i don't want to interfere with your planned riding route from J and S but the maps show you riding around the edge of Manchester . you should ride inside that map a touch by glossop and pick up the snake pass ! you won't ask why its called that when you get to the end, which brings you back onto the purple route line on the map !
