I've heard the roads are fab & fancy getting about a bit this year on some decent rides .... will keep an eye on the thread & see when your going & confirm a little closer to the time. With regards to the weather .... Jazz knows best really & seems May is your best bet for the least rain from what Wiki states.
we was up there a couple of years back end of may , brilliant weather, one days rain (but by f--k did it rain) , open roads open face helmets , badass shades and bugs in the teeth. good ale what more do you want, bring it on , may june july best months for the weather and less traffic. plenty of accomodation, have a look on rooms4bikers.com if you don`t want the bunk house.
I`ll be in Oban from july 27th-7th Aug,me and the mrs went last year in the cage and loved every minute.Camping in Oban caravan + camping was only £15 a night.The views are jaw dropping and the roads are awsome.Nice smooth roads and didnt see any plod.
I sent the campsite with the bunkhouse an email, asking when the bunkhouse was vacant from june 1st - 31st august, Didnt think much of his attitude and it sounded like it was to much trouble to look and see wot dates it was available hardly rocket science!
