After last night......i was thinking why don't we have a club meet every week in a pub somewhere that is central to u all.....where we could meet chat and have food......... any thoughts on this..... ==== Ok as promised i have been looking for a venue to hold the NWB meetings, I come up with four possible places that had the criteria we were looking for..... Good parking, good food, countryside location so not to upset the neighbours, Three of the places found had things planned for monday and tuesday nights. So the end result is the Antrobus Arms that was suggested by Tomo and Woody thanks for that lads. I have been down there to meet the landlord and he is happy for us to go there he has even provided us with our own room. While i was there i sampled the food and it was great. And yes the loo is good too (mr wink and nutter dad) sh*t heads lol The night that is available to us is tuesday, as he has a car meet there on monday. There are good roads if someone would like arrange a ride out. and its in a good central location........just off the m56 oulton park turn off or through warrington. So what do you think. we could start tuesday 7th .
Sounds like a great plan and a good way of getting to know everyone and having a perv at each others bikes
Great idea. The Plough in Euxton is a good pub. Good Cheap bar food and quite central. There's nothing wrong with movin the venue each month so we get to see different areas
The thing with that is we need safe parking.....and its best to ask permission from the owners..... I think it would be too confusing to move to different places.....
I don't mind asking pubs in Warrington if it would be ok. (Good excuse for a pub crawl for me! :shades: ) The way things are in the pub business i think a few would welcome the extra business.
Im not sure if that might be a bit too posh. They're a bit snobby up that end. There's the fiddle inn at Burtonwood. Big carpark and its not near any houses that might complain. My Daughters friends Dad ran it a couple of years ago. I'll find out if he still does but i can ask anyway.
Im not good with links but if you google it the post code is WA5 4BJ. Its just an idea. I'll think of some others. For some reason we seem to know all the pubs in Warrington.
Yea the requirements are : Food Bar Carpark (Tarmac not gravel) No houses nearby Decent roads Midclass (Dont want chavvy scum there) EDIT: That looks about right, and pretty central.
