    Hello everyone,I know most of you sometimes ride up my neck of the woods (not that you say hi! :( )

    There is some new road changes up here thought I should give you all a head's up.

    A series of new traffic orders have been agreed by Cumbria County councillors in South Lakeland.
    Among the changes are restrictions in Windermere and Bowness, which include yellow lines on Birthwaite Road and St Marys Park; Princes Road and Queens Drive.
    Other changes in Windermere and Bowness are:
    - A double yellow line on Phoenix Way to cover the entrance to the Nine Oaks Housing Trust, and a 'no through road' sign at the entrance to the street;
    - No waiting from 9am to 7pm for Birch Street;
    - A compulsory left turn for Crescent Road.
    New speed limits in two villages near Coniston have also been approved after issues were raised about speeding vehicles in Lowick Green and Torver.
    The details of the changes near Coniston are:
    - A 40mph speed limit in Lowick Green on both the A5084 and the A5092;
    - A 30mph speed limit will be introduced through the village of Torver, with a 40mph speed limit on the approaches to act as a buffer zone.

    I wish they'd stop lowering speed limits; it doesnt stop people speeding, only makes you even more over the limit than you woulda been.
