Looking to buy a new helmet, I currently have a Airoh TR1 with the removable chin guard, but there is a crack on one of the locking tabs and well I've worked like a mad man lately so I deserve a treat!
Looking to spend <£200 and prefer the helmet to have an internal sun visor but not 100% required
If anyone has any ideas or knows the best place to look it would be much appreciated
    Cheers

Depending on where you are based.....the rocket in Blackburn and shorrocks in Preston have huge selections of all the top makes and "budget" makes too. J and S also have a good wide selection

Try on as many as poss to get a good fit. What fits some one else might not fit you.

You will get a decent full face with flip down for your hard earned cash

+1 for J&S was up there not long ago and they do have a huge selection from Bargain Basement up to Premium Brands. So be able to find something to suit your budget :)

You can get a lot of helmet for that but im not convinced about those internal sun visors, I think ive read that they can cause damage in an accident but I could be wrong

The visors add size and weight to the helmet best to get the best fit ignoring all other factors.

Then at that point if you like 2 and can't decide there will be a gimmick that separates the two.

As for where J&S is a must, very large selection from 30-2000 £££

Just bought the new shark speed r, cracking bit of kit, arrai chaser now sits in box. The speed r is quiter and looks great, the internal visor is very good, def not a gimmick.

    Worth every penny...

    That's one I'm looking at.
    Plus a few hjc's
    And a few AGV's

Tried a load on today so I know what size I need in each brand

The red black white is the one i got to go with my bike, highly recommended mate, so many roads in east ham is worth a trip, they do a good selection of the shark and hjc, david will do a proper fitting for you head to mate.

I went from a HJC IS-16 to the HJC FS-11.

IS-16 was a tad quieter, but the FS-11 fits much better, the sun visor is darker and the pump feature is brilliant for those hot days where your face looks like a fat chick in size 6 jeans.

Got mine from Lidsdirect for £130 I think it was.

Just out of interest, are you the same size in the FS-11 as the IS-16?
Only cause I'm a large in the IS-17 but a medium in the RHPA plus helmets

Yep Medium in both. Only the FS-11 fits better purely because of the pump feature.

    Decided on a Nolan N86
Turned up today well pleased with it, will get a test ride with it on going home from work and see what it's like noise wise and at high speeds etc.
Looks wise it's spot on and the fit is snug as a bug so will be perfect once the cheek pads give a little bit.
