name one single thing that sohuld be banned whilst on a bike!

In the passed I have made loads of overtakes safely and proficiently in places where they are now prohibited.
The causeway on the Woodhead pass is an example. When they made it double whites I completely approved as the road surface was potholed and rutted and frankly dangerous. However when road was re-surfaced the DW's stayed.

And why did they not put the cameras up before reducing the speed limit on the C&F. Low life jobs worth.

Oh the blood bike slappers were at Rivi today raising funds to be able to put hard working couriers out of work.

It's funny really,how wing mirrors are not a legal requirement...it boggles the mind..

 

especially in van with blanked out rear windows.

It's also funny how many bikers don't have wing mirrors, just for looks!

 

I here that,there's quite a few people bikes at college with no wing mirrors off,I don't know why the government doesn't make this a legal requirement,it's (notso)common sense.

 

If they were to be made legal, how long would it be before people took the piss? Number plates and exhausts have legal requirements and look how many of us (me included) bend the rules? Although, loud pipes are a safety feature if you ask me, if people can hear you, they're less likely to step/pull out in front of you!

Yeah but number plates and exhaust legal requirements are just people being anal,a mirror has a safety purpose to see what's behind you,to see if you can pull into the next lane.100% agree with loud pipes thought.( I have 2 holes in mine that make me sound loud,crap loud but loud none the less)

Every goods vehicle and dual purpose vehicle must have two mirrors. One must be fitted externally on the offside and the other either internally or, if visibility to the rear is obscured, on the nearside externally. The mirrors must show traffic to the rear and on both sides rearwards. In practice, this means that (in most cases) two external mirrors are needed. They must remain steady under normal driving conditions.
Regulation 33 Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986 states that motor vehicles, except road rollers, shall be fitted with a mirror or mirrors according to their class and date of first use. Any mirror which is fitted shall, whether or not it is required, comply with the any requirements of these regulations or EC Regulations applicable to that vehicle
