I bought a drift HD ghost and took out for the first run today. Some simple vid editing later and here it is... Part A; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7MxlnJxsfM Part B; My channel - www.youtube.com/bigdan1190 Cheers, Dan
For some stupid reason, it won't let me edit my post to add the part B, so here it is; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NEII07nP_Pc
Don't like the look of those tram lines in the road though!! Also find myself singing/whistling with the camera on hahaha
Cool mate, im going to be starting vlogging soon, hopefully have my hdpro cam end of next week Svengalie has got me wanting to do it spent hours watching his video's and was gutted when i found out he died Baron von grumble and Apple von Crumble are good vloggers Crumble is funny as fook lol Is it me or does your bike sound a bit tappy? Oh and i subscribe to your chanel My chanel is http://www.youtube.com/user/petrolhead1987 No vlogs up yet but will be soon
hey petrol head, if you mean the occasional tap that sounds a bit plasticcy, its the dash panel that is loose. Should be fixing that this weekend. But no, the engine is sweet as a nut
Its fine mate, don't worry, cheers for the concern though. Sounds fine in person, plus its 2007 with 13k on the clock - these engines are pretty tough too
I'm looking at buying a cam to use on my bike. The sound quality in your vid is really clear, i assume you seperate mic set up. What do you use?
Actually yeah i would like to know what mic you use also lol, im getting this next week http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/140899192070?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 But i want a decent mic to go with it, it does come with one but my brother has same one and the mic provided is crap. I have looked at this one for the drift hd which is meant to be pretty decent http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/160953600744?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
I use the Drift HD Ghost camera, with a the Drift HD Ghost external mic, which is mounted in the padding of my helmet. At some point I'll do a video of my set up Costs; Drift HD Ghost + external mic; £285 - actioncameras.co.uk (using discount code BARON10) 64gb Class 10 Ultra SD card £40 - eBay.co.uk Big money. Alternatives are the GoPro or the Contour - but they aren't as good as the drift for Vlogging - but for just videoing a ride with no voice, they're good. Both are equally expensive, and have their downsides; The GoPro has to be in a case (extra), and although it is physically smaller than the drift, the way it mounts makes it look a lot bigger. Fiddly buttons. The Contour doesn't have as good mic abilities. Possibly fiddly buttons - never held one though. It is the smallest and most streamlined cam of the 3 though. And neither the GoPro or the Contour have their own built-in viewing screen. Both need to be connected to a smart phone, which lets face it, is a bit of a PITA. And the Drift comes with a remote which is VERY handy. Almost a necessity. You can look at older models of the drift, i.e. the Drift HD (£150) or the Drift 720 (circa £100) - but neither are waterproof, but might be showerproof. The Drift HD Ghost (the one I have) is waterproof - even when submerged up to 3 metres - without a case. So, in my eyes that makes it worth the extra money.
So this mic will be alright then? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/160953600744?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
Looks like the same one as mine, so should be fine. I use the exact same set up as Baron von Grumble, but you'll notice mine has far less wind noise - especially at motorway speeds - and its down to the different helmets.
just ordered an extreme cam (crocolis) off ebay as he had 1 in , only to be told sold out and the will be getting new stock on the 22nd feb. rowlocks so aske for a refund and might go for a go pro3 silver edition or an aee sd cam.
I know someone selling a GoPro HD Hero for £100 including a 16GB memory card? Paddy on BikeChatForums
Nice going, you're really into the vlogging thing now  Next time we go for a ride you can film me, I'd like to see what I look like... I think.
You don't. LOL jk'in dude Yeah, I wear it everywhere now, i'm recording every ride until I can bother learning how the "tagging" feature works - just incase anything happens. I must have had easy 4 hours of footage, condensed down quite a lot to just the good bits. By the way guys, I would very much appreciate any feedback about the videos.
