    ouch :( R.I.P Barney

well Fazer the only thing i have to compare it to is the yam yam i did my CBT on.

But it drives on fresh air =)
compared to my car the suspension sucks i feel every bump in the road and there a re a lot of around here
its only 5 gears and its a bit slow on the off but that could be me not the bike, and a bit restricted at the top i had 63 on the way to the cat and would have a bit more but had to slow down because of someone in front of me, but i think 65 would be it's max, ( but then its learner legal) that said i am very new to biking 6 weeks on the road and i have a lot to learn so i think it's a good little learners bike it got up the hills ok i dont know if it's the bike or me that doesnt go down well on corners so i cant really complain like i said i have a lot to learn. another thing in its favour is it light enough so not to difficult for me wheeling backwards down my very steep drive when i get home =).

I sat on a few bikes before i bought it , at the time i thought i would like a cbr but they felt like a bmx's with an engine to me way to thin, not that i tested any on the road.

i dont like the suzuki idk why its just not me. No offence to anyone but i dont like chinese bikes either I am wary of them heard to many bad stories althou i am assured they are better now..
so in a nut shell I love my bike =D
what do you think of them?

My son thinking of getting a new bike, after his last one was stolen, and he did not want to get another XR125L like he had, so I showed him one on here that was for sale

well i hope what i have said helps, I got mine from Robinsons in rochdale so its an import, on the road for just under £1800 2009 plate . Which was cheaper than some (cbr's for example) second hand bikes.

if he has any specific questions i will try to answer them but i am not mechanically minded so i may not be much use.

my insurance was cheap too but i think that's because of my age and occupation defin wasnt penailsed for it being an import althou if you buy from recognised dealer they offer 1 year insurance free , that said you pay about 2k for the bike ithink =)

yea ive got one too. im fairly heavy - bout 15 stone and i get 60 out of mine easy, on a good day 70 but thats just red lining in top. naturally doing that i dont get as good fuel consumption as lavinia but still get about 250 miles to a tank @ ~£12

i found that it felt like it had quite hard and square tires so i think one of the things i will be looking at is getting those changed, that and making the upgrade to HH sinterred brake pads (online ~ £18)

lavinia is right - it is very light, im fairly sure im heavier than her which makes it abit top heavy and can make even a light side wind "fun", but then im also 6ft3 and 15 stone so he may want to consider that too.

my insurance tpft, 23 male, manc center is about £400 for the year with mce

if you can get the "custom" model, looks nicer and i think has the potential to resist rust better

all in all i would recommend the YBR as a good learner bike
