first id been on the Mt 09 was very nice , I just went out on my own on it,,so gave it a handful here and there , did you go with the organised group rides? i must have been stood close by watching that stunt show…your shots are similar to mine..I spoke to Dave coates after, he was embarrassed, peeps are normally three or four deep at the barriers to watch him , yet this morn there was prob 50 people there ?

this must have cost Yamaha some money to set up..quite a few Demo bikes, the stunt show, the wheelie machine, learn to ride skool, hire of showcase cinema pics for use of the bogs !!! £££££ all for what a handful of people to look at ?..i was hoping there would be more of the Yamaha range there to see , but nothing….even the "model" and yes there was only one of them ……6ft 3!! looked like a bloke with a girls body !!!

i was there for about an hour too as a time filler before heading elsewhere. didnt stay too long as i was lugging round two sets of gear and my backpack lol. going back tomorrow to try and get a test ride of the 07 and have a look at the merch i think altough it will probably be an even worse turn out cos of the weather forcast.

i was expecting a lot more people aswell tbh... and for it to not be hidden in a car park behind a showcase cinema lol.

was good to meet you though @Candy Blue :)

what did you both think of your test rides?

yes it was well hidden……..the guy i know at Yamaha told me they had asked for use of the Belle vue stadium …did you pass this and see all those CBT riders ? packed with them and this is the reason they had to use the car park over the road ….

I only went for a spin on the MT09 , i thought it was a great fun bike , comfy but a tad small for me , why are these modern bikes getting smaller and smaller ? or am i getting bigger and bigger ? it was quite soft on the front , diving under normal braking, but I'm sure it could be set up nice. I also noticed the wind blast due to it being Naked, at 70 MPH I'm sure that would be annoying after some time. There was one test model there with a small bikini fairing , not sure if this helped in anyway …lots of after market accessories for sale on these bikes. For you RJbackpacker!!! id say this bike is a natural progression from your MT ..

no idea what time its open to today but id say 4 ish being sunday ..then again the weather is worse than today ….

the bike even has twin piston front brakes if you want a use them !!!!

i had absolutely no idea where i was to be honest... only managed to find it because of the yammy flags outside the cinema.

being a small chap, im all for bikes getting smaller. one of my main concerns before i started riding was that id never be able to reach the floor/hold up the weight of a bigger bike so this direction is good for me. jap bikes for jap sized people  lol. id love to have an MT09 and will definitely be considering one when i get the next test out of the way. ive only ever experienced soft suspension and with the state of the roads these days i wouldn't mind it being a touch on the soft side....nothing a couple of hundred quid couldn't sort if it became an issue anyway.

Well today was an even worse turn out the yesterday. Couldn't Road test the 07 either as they only had full power models apart from the one to go around the stunt part. No point trying a bike riding in a circle so didn't bother.

Stunt show was the same as yesterday really so overall the day was a bit of a disappointment.

On a brighter note... I won a £50 voucher in the mt owners paddock for highest mileage haha. Not hard when every other bike was only a few months old!
